Stunned into a deep state of gardening envy - your new garden is beyond!!! Everything is so beautiful and the jack in the pulpit photo is marvelous. I hope you enjoy this Eden for many years to come.

Lady's Slipper!!! Your garden is so lovely. We stayed in Black Mountain a couple of months ago - it is so beautiful and the Asheville area is only a couple of hours from where we live. Chiggers.... boo hiss. I used to get bitten terrible every summer on my grandparents' farm in southern Indiana. Went through bottles of Campho Pheneque... Thank you for sharing your beautiful space.

Love the blues, especially when near yellows! I'm going to look for that brunnera - so pretty. Hope the pasqueflower makes a great comeback!

What a terrific garden! I especially love the bright pink bee balm against the grasses. Wonderful place...

      • Re: Fran’s Island Garden

Percy Wiseman!!! Be still, my heart.... so stunning as is the rest of your garden! We had a large flock of wild turkeys when we lived in northern NJ (Franklin Lakes) - the only time they were a real problem was when the "boys" were feeling very macho and would challenge every car on the roads! Hard to explain you were late to work because you were held hostage by a gang of toms in full display! : ). Thank you for sharing your lovely property.
